You might have fixed your issue with the Homebrew update (which was included in the full command you were supposed to run).

did the full  command and still getting .opus for mp3 files

It even says in the log you posted "youtube-dl 2020.02.16 already installed".

 

Try running the update command that Vítor posted above. And be careful to run the whole command.

  and i updated the youtube-dl through brew

I did the same thing just copied and pasted it and added in the quote

when i did that it gave an error

the youtube video audio downloaded as and .opus file but by f(x) is set to .mp3 

I used to be able to download twitter videos now I cant :( 

so i was having trouble installing the ffmpeg it wont let me install the + stuff in the help - can someone help me install them

is there way to set the dv to just do download video and do like da for like audio?

for some odd reason i keep getting invalid urls from youtube videos
