Such weird behavior. Confirming the same thing here. None of the applications in /Applications are findable in Alfred unless I open them once manually before hand. Confirmed with Firefox, Sketch and Sublime Text just now. At least I see a workaround, it's been quite maddening. Thank you.

I'm having the same issues. I've tried countless things including everything above except using onyx which doesn't work on Catalina yet. I see no reason for .apps to just not show up in the search results... I've had to use spotlight and it really hurts
