  1. I'm a little confused, I think I may not have been clear? If I type 'SPACE, A, B' I get a different result from typing 'A, B, ctrl-A, SPACE'. In both cases, the text in Alfred ends up being 'SPACE, A, B' (i.e. " AB") These are the same exact characters, but in one case you get a file search and in the other case you don't. That's what seems like a bug to me! Any other text change seems to do the right thing, just that one acts funky. EDIT: Reading again, now I understand. But it still seems like non-ideal behaviour. Typing space at the start of an Alfred query can have no other meaning other than wanting to do a file filter that I can tell. I was hoping to retrain my muscle memory, but it still hasn't worked 🤷‍♂️.. I doubt I'm the only one! I'm also not sure how to create a hotkey that changes the alfred output (vs. one that impacts apps). I assume that should be possible though if I'm understanding correctly.
  2. Ah, that makes sense, though it doesn't solve the original issue (which might be a bug?).
  3. I'll often want to go to the start of the prompt when I realize I mean to search for a file or folder, in order to add a space. I use control-a to do that because that's the standard way to go to the start of a line...and while it does go to the start and I can put in the space, it doesn't make Alfred actually switch to searching for files unless I explicitly add an apostrophe! Is there any way to make this work by adding a space? (In addition, another keyboard shortcut to just directly switch to file searches could also be helpful.)
