How do I save alfred preferences to use on a laptop

I'm trying to understand workflows and I have no idea how to create them. I used to be good at stuff like this but I'm finding it difficult to understand how it works. Is there some visual training on how to create a work flow? And how do I "hook up" a downloaded workflow that someone else created?

Alfred doesn't use this hotkey for anything so I doubt that Alfred is the cause for this not working unless you installed a workflow or manually set that hotkey to a feature yourself. Have you tried rebooting?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Yes I've rebooted but it still doesn't work.  However, before clicking post in a hasty way I just tried to see if it would work again and realized that I set my hotkey to open Alfred with 3 of those 4 keys so it was getting stuck on that. I've since changed the hotkey to open Alfred and voilá it's working again. I can do my favorite screen shots now. Yippeee.

I would make a screen shot of a window in Mac OSX Mountain Lion with the command shift 4 space bar. However since I've loaded Alfred I don't have that any more. How do I get that back and still be able to use Alfred?
