Andrew, "activity monitor" - is the example only. there are many apps that Alfred cannot find by the second word. "Network Utility" "System Information" ... it seems that something wrong with cyrillic (in my case). Alfred finds applications without cyrillic in its name fine. "Google Chrome", "Microsoft Word", "Air Video Server"... without problems. and the only difference in the result of "Alfred Metadata Tool" between these applications and the applications mentioned above, is the absence of Russian letters. this problem is not in any way critical, of course. but if you fix it in future versions, it would be perfectly and I don't have power pack license yet. there was no reason for it. "workflow based solution" - does it solve the whole problem or is about specific app "activity monitor" only? thanx

it seems that the reason has been found in the post linked in the previous reply Andrew said: >Alfred uses the same lower level OS X metadata server, but performs different queries why not assume that there is an error in those "different queries"? Andrew, please, could you re-check this point? I know that my English is far-far from ideal... I've tried to say that spotlight and (that, in my humble opinion, is more interesting) the "locate" terminal command work fine. and I think that is the guarantee that macos is indexed well. I set up -i and -E options of mdutil a long time ago. but now I've run these commands in the terminal again. after the macos reindexing I've reloaded the Alfred app cache and even restarted Afred result - the same. so, only Alfred does not find this "activity monitor" application by "moni".

thanx, Andrew but... all the same the spotlight search by "moni" works fine, and the terminal "locate monitor" command finds "activity monitor.app"... but Alfred - does not what's the magic? screenshot - https://www.monosnap.com/image/TCEsvG4je5uuUsVibWLO2akZE

good day. could you explain me how Alfred searches?.. why Alfred does not search "activity monitor" application by "monit"? but for the "acti" - without problems. and at the same time it searches e.g. "application loader" application and by "appli" and by "load". whats the difference between "activity monitor" and "application loader" in this context? see screenshots - https://www.monosnap.com/image/n2EA7ZIhHpzeflVhycU3C6EIY I've tried to change Alfred settings parameter "apps matching" but without effects. thanx.
