  1. I did do that based on my research. And I've manually double checked the permissions in Terminal. I'm trying this to see if the settings stick: Quit all apps Set the Search Scope in Alfred Shut down the computer Start the computer I'll let you know if this procedure has cured this. I seem to recall other plist settings where I've had to do something similar to make them stick for whatever reason. While I couldn't confirm it, the loss of search scope (and only search scope) seemed to be associated with sleep/wake.
  2. OS X 10.9.2 Alfred v2.1.1 (227) It seems Alfred is blanking out my Search Scope on its own. I can reset it but after some use it would get blanked out again. When this happens of course I can't really find anything as nothing is in scope anymore. I then go back into preferences and reset the scope again. This seems to have started happening after the 10.9.2 update but I can't be sure.
