  1. Removing ~/Library/Application Support/Alfred 2 as per http://support.alfredapp.com/kb:reset-alfred finally did the trick. Now I have Alfred working again. Thanks.
  2. I agree, Open <file>, searches things fine.
  3. A picture would be 1,000 words if I knew how to upload into this system. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=92170CBE1459077A!3712&authkey=!ALpRFM91HhNlsJM&ithint=folder%2c.png https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=92170CBE1459077A!3715&authkey=!AGgHGDZoM3bL-5A&v=3&ithint=photo%2c.jpg I have I believe all defaults Applications is greyed but has checkmark (I can't uncheck it). It also has Contacts, Preferences, Bookmarks, and Folders checked. Search scope shows: /Applications /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications /Developer/Applications /Library/PreferencePanes /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications /System/Library/PreferencesPanes ~/Library/Caches/Metadata ~/Library/Mobile Documents ~/Library/PreferencesPanes
  4. I did repair disk permissions in Disk Utility.app. After this, I did a deep reindex using this method: http://skillzdesign....using-terminal/ Still no luck. The Search finds it, but not Alfred. Even stranger, Alfred works fine for one user my Mac, but not for other one. It just won't look in Applications or anywhere else. I can send screen shots showing "notes" in Alfred giving http://notes.app while Search finds Notes (the app). I also in Alfred Preferences advanced, tried: Clear application cache, Rebuild OS X Metadata, and clear Knowledge.
  5. That fixed it for me. Installed and find Application folder entries again. Thanks.
  6. I originally unzipped with the archive utility. I also used zipeg, same result.
  7. NOTE FROM ANDREW: Please try re-downloading, I have re-uploaded a new zip to the CDN. I download Alfred_2.2_243.zip and unzip and move 'Alfred 2.app' to Applications (or copy). When I run Alfred 2.app I get a pop up: "Alfred 2.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash. Google Chrome.app doloaded this file today at 1:14 from www.alfredapp.com." I had earlier upgraded my Alfred, but after upgrade it wasn't finding files in my Applications folder, e.g. 'notes' did not find applications/notes.app and notes.app found http://notes.app So I quite Alfred and move to trash and tried fresh new download. Now Alfred won't run at all. My experience with other Apps is that Alfred has left behind some info in hidden places that is corrupt and must be removed. But I don't know where that is for Alfred.
