Love the workflow, how would I add current Pollen count?

Hey, I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I thought I'd just chip in and let you know.

When using this workflow to restart into windows 7, it stops me from being able to turn my brightness up and down.  However if I manually boot into windows it's fine, same goes for choosing windows as my startup disk.  At first I thought it was to do with windows update updating my drivers, but it's not.
 

I was wondering if there was a fix for this workflow so that my brightness would work?  If not I just wanted to highlight the problem for other people that might of experienced the same thing and not known why it was happening.

I also see this problem on a MacBookPro 8,2 (late2011):

*When booting Windows 7 with rEFIt, brightness control does NOT work.
*When booting Windows from the option menu at startup, brightness WORKS.
*When booting Windows using Startup Disk pref. pane in OS X, brightness WORKS.
*When booting Windows from the Windows Boot Camp program, brightness WORKS.

When the brightness works, both the keyboard shortcuts and Windows Control Panel controls work. When it doesn't work, neither the shortcut keys nor the Control Pane controls work. Based on this, I infer that it's something to do with rEFIt.

I wonder if anyone who uses rEFIt has the skills to debug and code up a fix for this type of thing. I don't

Thanks for those scripts, and that's exactly why I want to disable the hot corners - full screen gaming.

Never got to say thanks for making the About this Mac workflow, couldn't of turned out any better.

Hey, looking for a workflow to toggle hot corners on and off.  I only use the bottom right to show desktop. Although a natural language workflow would be sweet.

e.g. Hotcorner top right desktop

Even just on and off, that remembers the last state?

I know nothing of coding, but I'm super proud of the guys that have helped me out in the past, this is an awesome community.

I'd like to be able to type "about" and have the About this Mac data appear within Alfred - hit return to copy to clipboard.

Also just "serial" or "model" would be handy.

Other additions/suggestions welcome as always.

This is awesome.  However it switches the audio output to my Apple TV and also mirrors my mac, instead of just switching audio output.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Another idea I just had was to use Alfred to change my Audio output to my Apple TV/Airport Express.  

Is there anyone that thinks they could do this?  Type "Airplay to" then have a list of available sources to select from and to then have a confirmation notification.

I used to keep my hdd on my desktop and cmd + i it.  

However, I'm going zen and I'm sure Alfred is capable of this. I wouldn't know where to start.

There's a command line which disables the keyboard for the laptops:

sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBTopCase.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBTCKeyboard.kext

And enables it again:

sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBTopCase.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBTCKeyboard.kext

However it requires the input of the admin password... making this a new feature or a workflow is beyond my skills.  Any thoughts?

The other option is to open a blank textedit file that swallows the typed gibberish...not beyond my skills.

That's an excellent idea! Except I'm on a laptop.  I know theres a menu bar app I can get... but I'm sure it's within Alfred's power without having to install a 3rd party app.

Not sure if an extension already exists for Alfred to do this, if it does please let me know.

I'd love to be able to type "Clean" and be able to clean my keyboard without confusing my mac.
