fossil Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hello, I'm unable to assign the F6 key on my keyboard to any Alfred action. I can assign that key to a system hotkey (like Dashboard for example), or if I use a modifier I can get it to work (like Command + F6). If I view an on-screen keyboard layout, I can see the F6 key being depressed and not activating anything else. I also tried assigning the hotkey by clicking the F6 key on the virtual keyboard. Any idea what's is going on?
RodgerWW Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Under Mavericks (10.9.3) with Alfred2 (2.3) I can assign any workflow hotkey to be F6. Make SURE that in System Preferences/Keyboard/Shortcuts, there is nothing taking up the F6 ... otherwise, Alfred won't be able to use it. Also make SURE any other apps you might have running do not use that key binding. Short of that ... no clue.
fossil Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Hi there, After some coffee this morning, I double checked everything. I had a disabled workflow with F6 assigned already. Deleted that, and I was able to assign it. Would be nice if there was a warning when that happens (at least within Alfred's own workflows). Anyway, everything is working. Thanks!
