System shortcuts for use in workflows

I'm no coder so I have no idea how hard it would be to have the option in workflow actions to have items from services and global hotkeys.

 

I think this would open up workflows a bit more to surface hackers like myself who aren't about to start learning to script.

 

Example is I am trying to set up a workflow to replace a script in Alfred one to take an interactive screen capture, put it in the clipboard and pop open start a new email.

 

I know I can do it - and have in Automater and saved the workflow as an application, but I can't avoid a pop making me OK before selecting my screen grab. I also know I have a shortcut that just starts the interactive screen capture. 

 

If I am missing something obvious, I apologize.
