  1. Update: I went to System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy tab and the added my user folder to the list of locations Spotlight should prevent from searching and then removed it from that list again. I noticed in Spotlight that indexing started again. After indexing Alfred does not appear to have any search issues anymore! I repeated analysis via File Search Troubleshooting (dropping some folders from my user folder for analysis) no warning is found anymore! Happy for now, but will update this thread when the issue again, _without knowing why_ will spontaneously return!
  2. Hi, I am having search issues on my new Macbook Pro 14 inch (Apple M1 Pro) with 4TB running macOS Monterey version 12.1 I read on this forum that the issues could have been caused by the use of the Migration Assistant. I did use the Migration Assistant, but one of the folders that gives me search issues was not migrated from my old laptop; I copied it from an external drive to the my user folder on my new laptop. Isn't it weird that this still causes issues? I follow the steps as described by @Vero here: These steps helped resolving the issue, but _without knowing why_ the issue spontaneously returned within the same or next day. For that reason, I backed up my data and did a clean install of my new laptop via 'Erase all contents and settings' (yesterday). Then copied my data to my users folder and was very happy to experience no search issues whatsoever! Until... just now... again, _without knowing why_ the issue spontaneously returned!! I redid the steps described by @Vero above, but without any effect. Spotlight is able to find the files or folders I am looking for. Alfred is not. Via File Search Troubleshooting (when I drop my user folder for analysis) I do find 1 warning: File isn't within Alfred's default search scope. I find this very weird, because the folder is listed in my Search Scope (see screenshot). Any help is appreciated!!!
  3. Thanks vitor, I did and at one point I could find files and a few hours later (spontenously) not.
  4. I'm so frustrated. I have this issue too on my new Macbook Pro (M1) (migrated from my previous Intel Macbook Pro). This afternoon everything was working (after hours of trying all the tips shared here). This evening: not finding any files anymore again. Argh. Please help.
