Adding an event in Calendar

I know this has been attempted before, but the Quick Entry in iCal is more flexible and already interprets fairly complex statements.

 

In iCal this is accessed using CMD+N 

 

Is there a way to input via Alfred?

You could, using AppleScript. The downside of this is that Calendar.app must be open in order to do this.
