If you’re looking to manipulate the position of Finder windows, you could do that previously. Use the Open File Action to open a specific folder and connect it to the Set Custom Window Bounds Automation Task. Chain a few in a row and watch your windows open and be layed out. Like so:
You’ll need to do the math on the positions and sizes to construct your grid.

@bounce There's no need to pre-define any destinations. Just type the name of the folder you want the first time you want to move a file to it, and Alfred will remember and add it to the list for next time. The list will grow over time as you use the feature

I’m not seeing an option in Finder’s AppleScript dictionary to start a search. You might have to resort to GUI automation, like pressing the right shortcuts. Have you considered a File Filter instead?

The last of my Roam workflows I am sharing tonight! This one generates a weekly plan for the coming week for use in Roam inspired by Nat Eliason's Effortless Output with Roam course. When you load it with notes/todos, they will show up in the appropriate day's notes.
