Workflow to toggle camera on/off

Hi ... is there an existing workflow which can help in toggling Mac's camera on/off?

What do you mean? Can you me more specific on what’s your purpose for that functionality?

The cam is only active when an apps needs to use it.

So, it can not be switched off or on.

It can be switched off by terminating the process that called it, like OverSight does. Similarly, it can be switched on by getting another process to turn it on.

 

That’s why @Beery’s purpose is important. Only then can we say if this is doable or not, and with which tradeoffs.
