Snippet not expanding properly on Google Hangouts

I have these two snippets setup in Alfred 4.

 

Name: i

Keyword: i<space>

Snippet: I<space>

 

Name: im

Keyword: im<space>

Snippet: I'm<space>

 

When I type "i" (without quotes), and hit space, it expands to I<space> fine in TextEdit app. But on Google Hangouts, the trailing space is trimmed. Here's a small video of the problem - https://imgur.com/a/WCsXhhS

 

Is there a way to fix it?

@Mazor If I remember correctly, Google Hangouts may be processing the text which is why you get quirky behaviour.

 

There are a few things you can try...

 

1. Using Alfred's Snippet Viewer instead to paste directly without the typed keyword

2. Fettling the speed of the events in Alfred's Features > Snippets > Auto Expand Options > Tweaking
