Mike W Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Is there a particular reason Alfred doesn't support the Dropbox API? As it stands now I can't use multiple dropbox's on my computer using the dropbox client, thus I'm prevented from syncing my Alfred settings on my work computer as I have a work dropbox on work computer. If Alfred used the Dropbox API, on my work computer Alfred could use the Dropbox API to log into my personal dropbox and sync settings while I would maintain my work file level access through the Dropbox client.
deanishe Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Alfred doesn't support any sync APIs. It is entirely service agnostic. It saves its stuff to, and reads it from a folder on the filesystem. How you sync that is up to you. You can use Dropbox, or Unison, or keep your preferences in a git repo or on a USB stick. Dropbox is simply the official recommendation because it's free and works more reliably than other similar services like iCloud or Google Drive. 2 hours ago, Mike W said: As it stands now I can't use multiple dropbox's on my computer using the dropbox client Can't you share your Alfred sync folder with your work account?
