Apple script - Unable to get environment var?

I have workflow environments set like this:

 

I'm trying to retrieve the variable from "Run NSAppleScript" script like this:

 

And variable test is always empty?! What am I doing wrong?

 

I set variable through the apple script like this:

 

Btw... log doesn't output anything in the console form me? That's why I use "say" to debug 😔

 

I have Alfred v3.8.6

OsX Catalina 10.15.3

 

I have read all docs I could find including https://www.deanishe.net/post/2018/10/workflow/environment-variables-in-alfred/

Workflow variables aren't set in Run NSAppleScript because it's run internally to Alfred, not as a separate process. Use a Run Script instead.
