Clipboard Exact Copy Feature Request

Hi there,

 

The following is my test steps to understand if Alfred Clipboard feature supports to store exact copied format for future paste.

1. Launch excel, word and outlook
2. Copy a excel table to outlook email, you should see the table format is totally the same as in excel(exact copy)
3. Copy a word table to outlook email, you should see the table format is totally the same as in word(exact copy)
4. Using Alfred Clipboard feature to get copied excel table in 2nd steps and paste to outlook email, check if the table format keeps the same or becoming plain text.
 

The result is that copied table became plain text so the format is gone, so the Clipboard feature in Alfred is NOT exact copy, I think this is good feature request in the future.

You might be able to implement this feature with different hot key or a checkbox in Settings.

That is correct. Alfred only keeps one representation of the clipboard contents, which is normally plaintext. This is by design, so I doubt that it will change.
