“reindexdel.sh” can’t be opened – not able to rebuild macOS metadata

Hey people,

 

I moved all my Documents on my Mac (2020 Pro M1, Ventura 13.0) to iCloud Drive, since then Alfred 5.0.5 doesn't recognize the file icons, even after emptying the cache. They are included in the Search Scope, so files get found, just the displayed icons do not match.

 

After searching through the forum, a rebuild of macOS metadata was considered. But as soon as I confirm it, this error message shows up:

 

“reindexdel.sh” can’t be opened because (null) is not allowed to open documents in Terminal.

 

After that:

- I unchecked and checked again both Alfred's and Terminal's Full Disk Access

- I restarted my Mac

 

Still comes up. What should I do here? Does the rebuild helps with my problem anyway?

 

PS: I love Alfred, my brother (a bodybuilder) gave it to me and said: It's spotlight on steroids. (I got to admit that it's kind of true.)

It’s a known issue that Ventura has broken the Full Disk Permissions on 13.0. Reportedly that has been fixed in 13.0.1, so could you update and redo your steps (including removing, readding, and restarting)?

I'm running 13.0.1 and the issue persists. Just updated from Alfred 3. All full disk permissions are set.

I have the exact same problem. Running Ventura 13.0.1. Could somebody help?

Alfred 5.0.6, now in pre-release, should fix the reindexing issues you’re facing.

But note the file icons issue is from Ventura, not Alfred.
