RandmTask
Is there a way such that when I type: mailto:support@acme.com or support@acme.com With any email address, it automatically drafts an email from my gmail account? I set up a simple workflow for the mailto: keyword using Open URL to https://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&to={query} which works, but Im not sure how to change the default behaviour for any email address typed into Alfred, or how to implement it into a workflow Thanks for any guidance! vitor
Use a Keyword Input. Make the keyword be mailto (or mailto: if you really want that) and set it to Argument Required (with or without space, up to you) and connect that to your Open URL. Link to comment
RandmTask
Thanks, yes that part I have working. I just want Alfred to recognise whenever i put in an email address without mailto: and go to my mail client. Its strange that the default behaviour is to open https://support@acme.com for an email address entered in to Alfred. ie support@acme.com Link to comment
vitor
A URL with an @ is perfectly valid for authentication: http://user:password@domain.com/ or http://user@domain.com/. In your example, that would mean the user support on the domain acme.com. Those have to be supported too. Specifying the disambiguation for sending an email makes sense, in particular because while a domain is typically something you type in full, an email is usually something you search for from your contacts, which Alfred can filter for and find quickly (Alfred Preferences → Features → Contacts → Email). If it’s something you use often, you can make the keyword shorter. Link to comment
