How do I give Alfred 5 Automation Privileges in macOS Sonoma when the app is not listed in the Automation List

Recommended Posts

@willardcook Welcome to the forum :)

As outlined in Alfred's Permissions preferences and on the Granting Permissions support page: "There's no need to manually add Alfred to Automation, as this will be requested automatically by macOS when needed."

You don't need to worry about Automations; Alfred will ask for the relevant permissions when they are needed. For example, when using System Events, you'll see a pop-up that allows you to grant this permission.

If for any reason, you denied access when the request popped up, you can open macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation > Alfred and enable the missing permission.

For now, it doesn't look like Alfred has needed any on your Mac.

Cheers,
Vero
