[Forum enhancement] Auto-follow on liking or replying - automatic subscription to notifications of topic activity

Currently, you have to turn on "following" (being notified by email of new activity in) topics  *manually*,

 

It would be convenient to have an auto-follow feature - i.e., an automatic subscription to notifications of activity relating to a given topic - in response to either of the following actions:

• "liking" a topic or reply
• posting a reply

 

I think these are reasonable defaults; personally, I've forgotten to turn on "following" on a number of occasions, mistakenly assuming it had been turned on for me.
