Contacts not being found

I am unable to retrieve any contacts from Contacts.app. I have "Contacts" checked in the  "Default Results" preference pane, and "Open Contacts" in "Alfred" also checked.  

 

I have ran and reran "Reload Alfred Cache", I have verified and repaired my permissions in DiskUtility but still nothing. What else do I need to do to be able to find one of my contacts? Could this be a problem with card-dav, my contacts are not "On My Mac" (I use fruux rather than iCloud).

 

Any help or suggestions given gratefully received.

The solution turned out to be a setting in the OS "System Preferences", under the Contacts "Security & Privacy" panel. Here "Alfred" (now removed from my system) was checked, but Alfred 2 was unchecked. Checking this and restarting the OS solved my problem.
