help getting Alfred to see files

i recently upgraded to Alfred2. there are files that i used to be able to find via Alfred that i can no longer find. if i use "OPEN" then Alfred2 finds the files, but this is an extra finger step that i'd really like to simply avoid. how can i get Alfred2 to find all my files again? (i've already done the spotlight thing.)

One way, though not recommended, YET: still an option in Alfred2.

 

Open Alfred2 Preferences, Features, Default Results : Select "Search all file types" beside 'Unintelligent:'

Alfred separates the file search mode to keep the default results clean... the best way to do file search in Alfred is to prefix your search with a spacebar e.g. show Alfred and:

 

[spacebar]desktop
