Search in Chrome opens a new browser window when Developer Toolbar is opened as an external window and was selected at last

Recommended Posts

Reproduce:
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Open Developer Toolbar as an external window.
3. Select the Developer Toolbar.
4. Open Alfred's input bar and search for something.
5. Instead of opening a new tap, a new window will be opened.

It works as long as Chrome's actual browser window was selected at last.

OS: 10.10.5
Alfred: 2.8.1

I have two example gif showing the issue but it seems like that there is no way to upload any attachments here.

Alfred doesn't interact with Chrome directly, he simply asks OS X to open the given (or created) URL in the default web browser. This is then subsequently passed on to Safari, Chrome etc.

This is probably one you'll need to report to Chrome instead.

Cheers,

Andrew
