ericjamestaylor
Is it possible to index two different Google Sheets (hosts on the web) and then use Alfred to search for a value in them? Basically, I have a bunch of order numbers in 2 Google sheets, and I want to search for an order number in Alfred just like if I was using Command + F within Google Sheets and highlight the result if it exists. deanishe
It's absolutely possible, but not easy. Because the data live on the web, not on your harddrive, Alfred can't understand them natively. You'll need a Script Filter in any case. Beyond that you have 2 choices: download the sheets manually to your machine and use those data (simpler, faster), or use a Google library to access the data on the web. Here's a demo workflow I built to search a local Excel file. It would be relatively easy to adapt that one to your needs if you don't mind downloading the sheets for every update. Working with the data on the server would be a fair bit more complicated. Edited April 3, 2016 by deanishe Link to comment
