XZX
Hello all, Is there a way to lend directory context to a file search? Which is to say, a search for "directoryname/in" which would bring up "index.php" within the directory "directoryname". Or some equivalent means of searching which could lend directory context to a file search (or simply an option that allows "directoryname index" to find "index.php" within "directoryname")? As a web developer I work with many files with similar names and some kind of directory context such as this would be great for productivity. Not sure if this is something Alfred might be capable of on some level, or if it's something a workflow might handle or be needed for? Link to comment
dfay
One easy option is to set up file filters for the particular directories you want to search, which may make sense if they are relatively few and fixed - https://www.alfredapp.com/help/workflows/inputs/file-filter/ Another is to use the + to add a new workflow then select Examples > Dynamic File Search -- this installs a workflow that lets you search for a directory then search within it.
