robert_muench
I like Alfred's filename searching features. I would like use regular-expressions to search for things like: test.*success.log etc.

Alfred uses macOS's built-in metadata index and search API, which doesn't support that kind of thing. To support regular expressions (or blacklisting—a common request), Alfred would have to implement its own filtering on top of macOS's APIs. Andrew has long been reluctant to do this as it would have a massive impact on search performance. If you have a specific use-case in mind, it's fairly easy to solve using a workflow based on find or mdfind.
