Open files having extension X using app Y?

Hi.  I'm new to Alfred.  Can I configure Alfred so that whenever I open a file having an extension ".py", it will use my Vim editor application to open it?  I couldn't find how to do this by searching the documentation but I think it's because I didn't know the correct way to frame my question.  Thanks!

What application opens what file type is determined by the OS. Right-click a .py file and choose Get Info. Then change Open With to the application with it.
