Why scripts output with a line break?

I make a demo to convert meter to kilometer, but the output always with a line break. What's wrong with it?

@DickDi It's osascript which is adding the line break. You have two options:

 

1. Use a different scripting langauge which doesn't automatically add a line break.

 

2. Add a transform utility after the osascript to trim the output.

It has been solved by a transform utility. Thanks a lot !
