Opening an app in a specific screen area on a specific monitor?

I'm sure this must have been solved by loads of people but how can i tell an app to open in a specific area of my screen? 

 

I have a workflow to open two apps and i'd like one to always open on the right 50% and the other the left 50% of the main screen.

You could link the Open File action to a Resize Window from Preset Automation Task.
