Sebastian Daza
Hello, I am trying to filter latex files (.tex) using Alfred 3, but it doesn't work: Any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks. Link to comment

Vero
@Sebastian Daza & @foamster As with any other file filters, there are a few things to look at first: 1. If you search for these files in Alfred by using the "open" keyword, do they show up in results? If not, they may not be indexed or in the correct scope. 2. Are you sure that the file filter's file types is correct? I believe users have reported before that latex files often have very odd/inconsistent file types so you may need to tweak this. 3. Is the search scope correct so that your files are found? You can take a look at a file's metadata by installing the Alfred Metadata tool below and dragging in one of your latex files: https://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Paste the results here and we'll be able to help you make sure your file filter is set up correctly Cheers, Vero Link to comment
foamster
I resolved this by manually inputting "public.tex" for the file type in the filter. The drag option was giving the wrong file type... Thanks Vero for the response! Edited November 4, 2016 by foamster too many images posted Link to comment
