Learn from what you see in the Gallery then build your own workflows. Start with this Alfred help page and follow the links from it to see how to create workflows and what they can do for you: Workflows.

In summary, ultimately what Alfred can do for you is limited only by your own imagination. There is much that can be done with virtually no programming experience.

@Alfredonna if you take a moment to browse the contents of the Alfred Gallery you will get a very good idea of some of the things that can be achieved with the workflows that are available when you have the Powerpack.

@Alfredonna Over the past few versions of macOS, Apple have broken the System Settings / System Preferences which means that they're not always returned correctly in the indexed results. This is why we've released the workflows @Stephen_C provided links for, as this works around the missing macOS features.

We're keeping an eye on whether Apple will resolve this issue or not, and will provide a built-in solution if necessary; In the meantime, the workflow remains the best way to reliably include System Settings in your search results.

@Alfredonna Could you please let us know which version of macOS you're using?

I think it's worth checking that Alfred has the permissions he needs. Go to Alfred Preferences → General and then click on Request Permissions… and then check the various permissions.

For what it's worth, searching for macOS system settings works for me in Alfred (without using the workflows I mentioned).

    Welcome to the forum.

In Alfred Preferences → Default Results have you checked Preferences under Essentials?

If you still have a problem check these two workflows on the Alfred gallery: System Settings and Open macOS Settings Panes (full disclosure: the second one is by me).
