Placehold
Hey, So I tried searching for this and everything is pretty outdated. I'm looking for a workflow to do the following. 1. Search for a Gif based on my {Query} 2. Have it copy to my clipboard 2B. Have an Alt option to export it directly into the input field I am currently focused on I basically want it to copy the Slack integration, where it randomly selects one from the query. Why doesn't a simple File Filter work? 5 minutes ago, Placehold said: Have an Alt option to export it directly into the input field I am currently focused on "Input field" where? In a browser? A Mac app? A text field? A file (upload) field? What do you mean by "export"? Link to comment
Placehold
1. I want to use this on multiple apps and not just in slack directly from the website so I don't have to download the file each time to my desktop. 2. Input field can be in an app, or in a browser, I had a few workflows previously which would output Jira ticket details etc into any input I was currently focused on which made it easy for me to update UX, UI flows and documentations. I'd love to do the same with this. 3. By export I mean, I search, and it automatically copies that Giphy, then pastes it into the input field I am currently focused on, which can be a text field, any field where you'd type text and can accept images such as hipchat. deanishe
So you want a workflow that searches the Giphy API and copies the URL, optionally also pasting it to the active application? 2 minutes ago, Placehold said: where you'd type text and can accept images Images aren't text. To be clear, you mean the URL of an image? Link to comment
Placehold
I completely 100% understand that images are NOT text. OK, ok. Hipchat has an input field which can accept pasted content, images, text etc.. If I search for a Giphy like so "Giphy big balls" I want it to paste that image or export that image into that input field whether it exports or pastes is another thing. (by export I'm referring to taking it from the giphy website via the api and sending it to me via api into alfred app due to the workflow being the thing that makes this happens and then pushing it into Hipchat input field). Placehold
I'm not sure how it would be done, I've been trying to get it to work. I managed to get it to automatically paste the URL but the gif itself, for some reason is not working which is why I need help. 1. Trigger Alfred and type Giphy {query} 2. Gif appears in focused textbox/input box (Again, should mimic Slack usage for giphy where it picks a random gif from a set of results using your query, if the query was Banana and there were 12 results, it should choose 1 from the 12) Also updated my powerpack email address in my profile Kindest Regards Link to comment
deanishe
If you already have a workflow, even a non-working one, could you upload that somewhere and post a link? Link to comment
