contacts Google Contacts sync?

Is it possible to configure Alfred to always use Google Contacts when searching Contacts? 

 

As a heavy Google user, currently I have to export from Google Contacts to Apple Contacts app to ensure Alfred recognizes my contacts. I'm curious if there's a workaround.

Google Contacts is a web service you access through a browser; macOS Contacts app is a local application. This makes them different in every important way, meaning supporting one or the other couldn’t just be a simple drop-in. You can either:

1. Build/find a Workflow that accesses Google Contacts through their API.
2. Set it up so that the macOS Contacts app syncs directly with Google Contacts (pretty sure there’s a native way to do it).
