Hey guys, 

 

For some of my File Filters, I'd really like to see all the results available without typing anything but the keyword (and <space>). I can never remember the names of my files!

The use case here would be for example opening a template for a software. There are only very few files matching type + scope, but I can never remember the weird names given by the editors. 

 

If the only argument against that is speed of execution, just put a warning next to the checkbox and leave that up to the user.

Even if you can't remember the file name, couldn't you just set a descriptive name that you could use to identify the file in the files Spotlight Comment field to aid in finding the file you want?

Sure there is always a workaround but that's not really what would be the best i think.

Also I totally understand the fact that you can't add too many features or the interface will get cluttered and unusable. So I'm just suggesting.

You can type * in your File Filter search and it will list all files.  Just realised this myself. Pretty cool.
