giovanni
Hi all, I seem to remember that dragging one of Alfred's file results to a Finder's window resulted in a file ˆcopyˆ, but I just tried this and it results in in a file ^move^... has this changed recently, or am I remembering incorrectly? Thanks! Giovanni Link to comment

In fact, I'm pretty sure that Finder decides whether the file is moved or copied, not Alfred. In any case, Finder's/Alfred's default behaviour is to move the file if the destination is on the same partition, but to copy across partitions. giovanni 1 Link to comment
giovanni
thanks! that makes sense, I might be remembering adding files to email as attachments, which I do a lot more often. Would there be a way (perhaps in a separate workflow) to add a modifier key, to let the user copy a file to a new location? Link to comment

What happens to the dropped file is decided by the destination app, not Alfred. If you're dragging a file to Finder, use its copy and move modifiers (⌥ and ⌘ respectively). giovanni 1 Link to comment
