Totoro
When I copy and paste from iBooks into my note-taking app (Notion), it always comes with citations "Excerpt from..." with quotation marks around the whole thing. It gets very tedious. Can someone please tell how I can simply ⌘C and ⌘V without the extras? I think I'm looking for a script that removes the quotation marks and the last line and I suppose hold it in the clipboard until I ⌘V. I'm not sure. I would be super grateful if you could tell me what I should learn to be able to figure this out. Edited April 5, 2021 by Totoro Link to comment
vitor
There you go, I made it a while ago. It’s a bit thrown together but got the job done the handful of times I needed it. Bear in mind there’s a maximum limit you can copy at once (another idiotic measure). The Workflow will warn you in those cases. Totoro
You are a king! I simply imported it in alfred and tried copy pasting a segment but it didn't seem to work. Do I have to assign it to a hotkey? 8 hours ago, vitor said: There you go, I made it a while ago. It’s a bit thrown together but got the job done the handful of times I needed it. vitor
It uses the ibpaste Keyword to paste the result. But you can add a Hotkey: right click on an empty space → Triggers → Hotkey, then connect it to the Run Script. Totoro 1 Link to comment

mattbovett
This doesn't seem to work in macOS Ventura. Can anyone confirm? Link to comment
vitor
It does work on Ventura. If you’re having an issue, please be specific. Describe what you’ve done and what were the results, including the debugger output. Link to comment
