enable usage of option-key to navigate within the alfred text input field

Recommended Posts

sometimes when i use the calculator i need to insert parentheses after i started typing, usually one at the beginning of the term and one at the end. spotlight enables system-default navigation with the option-key, just like in any other system-default text field: pressing the option-key + arrow-up takes the cursor to the beginning, arrow-down to the end. alfred does not use this but i don't now why not since there does not seem to be any other behavior standing in the way.

Alfred uses ⌥↑ and ⌥↓ for its File Buffer by default (see Alfred Preferences > Features > File Search > Buffer). You can change it to use ⇧⌥ as a modifier instead.

Ah, thanks. Never used that. Deactivated it and now everything works fine. :)
