fatestigma
Env: Alfred 4.5[1253] and macOS 11.5 Every time I use Universal Actions, the selected text or files will override my clipboard. Not sure if it's by design, if so, could we make it optional or restore the clipboard after the actions. Link to comment

Alfred does restore the clipboard immediately. Is there a particular application you're seeing the wrong text pasted, or is it in everything? Link to comment

I also enabled "Ignore clipboard data marked as Auto Generated" in Clipboard -> Advanced, it still override my clipboard and won't restore after use. It not only happen to selected text, also to files; I selected files in Finder, and used Universal Actions to delete them, then press "⌘+V" will paste them back. Link to comment
Andrew
@fatestigma the option to restore the clipboard content is in Alfred's Advanced preferences. Set the Selection Hotkeys option to "Restore Previous Clipboard Content". Cheers, Andrew Link to comment
fatestigma
Thank you,@Andrew Right now it will restore. But it will still leave a trace in my Clipboard history. Would it be possible to ignore clipboard histories generated by Universal Actions? Link to comment
Clarus
Yeah, I see that too. It does leave a trace in the clipboard history. The option to have the Alfred clipboard history unaffected when Alfred accesses selected text would be a great addition. That includes: hotkey triggers using argument "Selection in macOS" universal action triggers Link to comment
