Clipboard history disabled after migration and relicencing

Recommended Posts

  1. I migrated my data from Intel Mac to M1 Mac
  2. Afterwards Alfred 4 was unlicenced
  3. I entered my licence in again

Clipboard History was not working.

Took me a while to see that these options were unticked.

Is it normal behaviour for them to not be ticked after this set of events, in this scenario?

@gingerbeardman Yes, this is by design. As you know, Clipboard History keeps a copy of text you've copied on your Mac, so this feature needs to be manually enabled on each Mac.

This ensures the feature isn't accidentally enabled on your Mac, and allows you to decide whether, for example, you want to enable it at home but not at work by not syncing this setting.
