uudricc
I have recently completed a full system reinstall and restored the data from a time machine backup. Everything seems to be working fine, except for Alfred. When attempting to reset the Alfred toggle hotkey, an error message pops up stating, "Unable to save 'local.hotkey.default' with value." Additionally, there are other features that are not functioning correctly, such as the remote module. It displays the error message, "Unable to save remote page index data. Please restart Alfred Preferences and try again." I suspect there might be an issue with my preference file, but since it is synced with iCloud, I am unsure about what could be causing the problem and how to resolve it. Would it be advisable to delete the Alfred.alfredpreferences file? Link to comment
Stephen_C
I'd be tempted to check that Alfred has all the permissions he needs. Go to Alfred Preferences → General and click on Request Permissions. See also this help page for sync problems noting that: iCloud is not recommended; and in any event Alfred's main hotkey is not sync'd (which is what makes me think it's a permissions issue). Specifically, it may be that your settings aren’t fully synced. Disable “Optimise Mac Storage” (and wait a bit for everything to download) then reboot and try again. uudricc 1 Link to comment
uudricc
Okay, so it turns out I made a dumb mistake. The Alfred.alfredpreferences file was just a virtual cloud file. Things started working when I download it from the cloud. Thank you guys! Link to comment
