Tags returns incomplete results

When I use the tags feature on my MacBook Pro, it appears to miss certain files that are tagged. ). If I delete the tag and re-add it, then it will appear in the search again.

What versions of Alfred and macOS are you using? If you use Spotlight does that find the tags correctly?

I'm using Sonoma 14.2.1. Yes, the tags appear in Spotlight.

@ctaberiv Tags have been a notoriously unreliable and half-baked feature in macOS over more than the past decade. As you've experienced, deleting and re-saving the same tag, while doing absolutely nothing different is sometimes all it takes for the tag to "stick" and be correctly saved/indexed by macOS.

 

Alfred will return all relevant results for tags that macOS provide, but can't control how well macOS saves these tags.
