When I search for something on the internet using alfred 2 (just by typing in a phrase), a lot of coding pops up before the search results do, which for me is unpleasant.

Could you be more specific? What does 'coding' mean? Are you referring to workflow results?

 

Here are a few tips for launching web searches:

• Type a keyword before your query. For example: 'google Alfred app is awesome'
• Use a modifier key to force a fallback search:

  

  Note: this method is not guaranteed to work, since workflows can actually override any of the modifier keys available for forcing a web search.
