Hot keys to launch apps, folders...

OK, i finally figured out how to launch Alfred using hot keys. For now i am using control option command letter A.

Now how do i assign hot keys to an application or folder ?

And after i assign the  hot keys to an application etc do i have to launch Alfred first ?

The same way you would add a Hotkey trigger in an Alfred workflow, you would only need to add a Launch Apps/Files action and attach it to the hotkey.

In Alfred's workflow preferences, click the [+] button and take a look at the Templates > Files and Apps > Launch File Group from Hotkey.

 

Once you have assigned a hotkey to a workflow action such as launching files, you don't need to show Alfred first, you can simply use the hotkey to perform the action.
