AsterY
Hi. Lock doesn't work when QQ(an instant communication app in China) is running. More specifically, Lock can work normally when QQ is not opened, but when QQ is opened, function Lock is converted to show QQ window. very strange and confusing Link to comment
deanishe
Hi @AsterY, welcome to the forum. I believe Alfred’s Lock works by simulating the Hotkey for macOS’s “Lock Screen” function, which is ^⌘Q. So what’s probably happening is that QQ has redefined ^⌘Q, which is why it’s activating. Alan He and AsterY 2 Link to comment

nhighnote414
Hi. When QQ (a Chinese instant messaging programme) is open, the lock does not operate. Lock, in particular, may operate normally when QQ is not open, but when QQ is opened, Lock is transformed to reveal the QQ window. really odd and perplexing Link to comment

Alan He
Some friends have encountered a situation where locking the screen using a hotkey ctrl+cmd+q works, but using the "lock" command does not work. Edited March 30, 2023 by Alan He Link to comment
