file search is not working [Resolved]

File search on Alfred 4 is no longer working. If I look for a file, it finds apps and then refers me to the web. I tried stopping and restarting indexing. This destroys much of the value of the PowerPack.

@twizzard Have you looked at the File Troubleshooting guide? It will walk you step by step through using Alfred's built-in troubleshooter and how to resolve any indexing issues on your Mac.

If you still have any issues, please provide more details, e.g. the output of the File Troubleshooter for a few files you're looking for, exactly what you're typing into Alfred, etc. and we'll be happy to help you further

the troubleshooter did nothing. However, after stopping and restarting indexing,  and waiting I found that Spotlight was  still indexing the drive. When that finished, Alfred started finding files again.
