How write a short description to your workflow?

Recommended Posts

It's for a Hotkey which opens a specific file.

The hotkey is triggered by CTRL ALT K2, where K2 is the "2" on the extended keyboard, and the trigger doesn't work with the usual "2" key.

So I thought to put a reminder somewhere that it is for the K2.

@OmarKN Hotkeys are stripped when workflows are shared, so that users can set their own choice of hotkey to avoid clashing with their existing ones. As such, you can suggest a workflow, but it won't be set automatically for the user on import.

Keywords, on the other hand, are kept when sharing workflows :)

Right click on the hotkey action, select Edit Note… and add a note to that effect? The alternative of adding an alert between the hotkey and the open file actions is probably too disruptive to the workflow (and too late anyway!).

As per my earlier reply, all hotkeys are stripped when sharing the workflow so users will set their own hotkey combo, suited to their own keyboard layout. You can suggest a hotkey but it won't automatically be filled in when the user imports your workflow.
