akrabat
Hi, I've started trying to understand universal actions. As I understand it, if I search for a folder in Alfred, I can press the right arrow key and then get a list universal actions. I then arrow down to "Open Terminal Here", press the return key and a new Terminal window opens on that directory. If I do this again, "Open Terminal Here" is still the 11th option, so I do the mouse down thing again a few times. Even after 20 times of selecting "Open Terminal Here", it hasn't moved to be the first option. How do I get Alfred to remember that this is my preferred choice and put it at the top, so it's one down arrow key away? Link to comment
vitor
Instead of arrowing down, type to filter results and select it then. Alfred will learn from that. Link to comment
Andrew
Alfred doesn't sort Universal Actions by default to keep the order predictable. You can enable the actions to be sorted by last used per type in Prefs > Features > Universal Actions > Action Ordering. vitor and akrabat 1 1 Link to comment
akrabat
Aha! Thanks. Somehow I never saw that option in the preferences. It's much better now! Given the default of the Action Ordering setting, it'd be nice if the list of actions supported drag and drop reordering so that each user could have their own predictable order. Link to comment
