Ckdestef
Hi there! Alfred is not finding my alias folders. Does anyone know how to search for them? For example, I have a folder on my desktop that contains a handful of aliases for frequent projects. Aflred is not finding these as Folders. Thanks! Craig Link to comment
Vero
@Ckdestef Alfred isn't finding the folder? Or the aliases? And is the folder itself a "real" folder in that location, or an alias as well? Your best bet is to drag the folder into Alfred's File Troubleshooter, which will give you some details on the metadata macOS has for the folder itself: https://www.alfredapp.com/help/troubleshooting/indexing/ You can copy the output in your reply so that we can help you further. vitor
Also note that checkbox is just telling Alfred to show folders in the default results, without going into File Search. In other words, if you open Alfred then press space (or type open) can you then search for your aliases and find them? If you’re looking to have aliases show up in the default results, use the Advanced… button to the right. Even if an alias *points to* a folder, it’s still a different type of file as far as the OS as concerned. Ckdestef 1 Link to comment
